Day 1: Arrival and Exploring Prague

After breakfast, a shuttle takes us out of Prague to the peaceful region of Southern Bohemia. This area is known for its pristine nature, quiet roads, and charming villages.

Our first stop is the romantic chateau of Cervena Lhota. This striking red castle sits on a rocky island in the middle of a lake and looks like something out of a fairytale. We’ll explore the chateau and its lovely parklands before starting our ride.

Evening in Nova Bystrice

We cycle through the gently rolling landscape of “Czech Canada,” an area nicknamed for its beautiful and sparsely populated wilderness. Our day ends in the small town of Nova Bystrice, where we’ll spend the night.

 

Day 3: Nova Bystrice to Telc (55 km / 35 miles)

Today is packed with history and stunning architecture as we ride to the UNESCO-listed town of Telc.

Stop in Slavonice – Renaissance Pearl

Our route takes us to Slavonice, one of the best-preserved Renaissance towns in Europe. We’ll admire the ornate graffiti-decorated houses on the main square and enjoy a coffee in a historic building.

Dacice Chateau and Lunch Break

Next, we visit the town of Dacice, home to a beautiful Empire-style chateau. It’s a great spot to take a lunch break and enjoy a meal in one of the lively restaurants on the town square.

We arrive in Telc, a town famous for its magnificent main square lined with colorful Renaissance and Baroque houses. In the afternoon, we’ll take a guided tour of the stunning Telc Chateau before you have the evening free to explore.

We leave Znojmo and ride through the flat Dyje River Valley. At Hevlin, we cross the border into Austria and the spa town of Laa an der Thaya.

Weinviertel Vineyards and Leiser Berge Greenways

We pedal through the Weinviertel region, famous for its vineyards, and then cycle along the Greenways of the Leiser Berge Nature Park. The route eventually joins the famous Danube bike path for the final stretch into Vienna.

Day 6: Day Off in Vienna

We follow the Danube as it bends south and cross into our fourth and final country, Hungary.

We ride along the northern bank of the Danube, passing through the town of Komarno. At Sturovo, we cross the Maria Valeria bridge into Hungary.
